Emerald Ballet Theatre is a ballet company during the academic year.
It is the Cultural Arts Institute "Roots and Wings" during the summer, which offers a great variety of outstanding educational programs and open ballet classes for children of all ages and levels, plus a summer dance intensive for intermediate/advanced dancers in their teens.
Roots and
Wings Roots and Wings is a series of weekly adventures designed for boys and girls, ages 5-12, to explore their world hands-on through language, literature, music, art, and dance with EBT’s diverse faculty of artists and educators. Irish, Russian, French, and Spanish sessions are offered 3 or 4 days a week on a half day and/or full day basis (June 30 - July 24). International Spanish Thursday (July 24), and three International Fridays that focus on Japanese/Chinese, West African/Polynesian, and Brazilian/Native American cultures (July 11-25) complete the weeks and are also available on a half day and/or full day basis.
In addition to the camps that bring international cultures to life through the arts, EBT also offers open Pre-Ballet classes for children ages 3-5 on Saturdays from 10-11am (June 28 - August 23), open Ballet classes for children ages 5-12 Monday - Thursdays from 3-4pm (July 7-24), and an Intermediate/Advanced Teen Summer Dance Intensive 4 hours per day (10-2pm) for 3, 4, or 5 days a week (July 7-25).
